After some previously successful work with my client (FM Rodeo) I was asked to create another music video for their upcoming single "Get Abused." The song (much like its subject matter) is intense, the wailing guitars come to the forefront almost as quickly as the thunderous drums that precede them. To match this intensity the clients asked that I make the video in a similar style as Nirvana’s “You Know You’re Right” music video. This particular kind of style is extremely difficult in terms of videography as well as editing, fortunately they knew I was more than capable of bringing their vision to life.
Check out the video!
The video was a resounding success and was received with a great deal of enthusiasm! The clients as well as their audience were extremely happy with how everything came out.
For the style of this video I went to several of the bands live shows and gathered footage to try and find the best venue to fit with the style of video we were trying to make. Ultimately we settled on their show at the Come And Take It in Austin, as the venue and crowd were especially enthusiastic and ready to really rock out!
One of the most important parts of any creative endeavor is the audience! For this video, myself and the client wanted to showcase not only an appreciation for the audience, but a celebration of their continued enthusiasm in the bands efforts. This was specifically shown through both behind-the-scenes footage as well as interactions directly from the stage.
